Do you sometimes just want to sit and watch the ocean, the surfers, and the dolphins play? Come to Heisler Park and relax on "Rock Pile Carve", created by artist George Stone in 2000. This concreate and stainless steel bench is a favorite of surfers checking the waves and also early morning trainers buffing up their clients.

We never want to leave Laguna Beach, but if you have to and you are driving through The Canyon, check out the "Wonder Wall" that was recently finished by LCAD students, supervised by LCAD instructor Mia Tavonatti.
Peppertree Lane is a historic building (1934) originally built around a pepper tree. At this place on my Hip District Tour, we see the only stand up saloon in Orange County, a delish gelato establishment, and a lovely contemporary American cuisine restaurant. Come explore Laguna Beach with me!
Have you ever seen huge blooms like this coming from an aloe plant? We stroll by this garden on my Hip District Tour. The Mountain Aloe plant can grow up to 15 feet tall, is native to South Africa, and was a traditional remedy for tapeworm.
There are so many fun things to talk about and see on my Laguna Beach Walks tours. Check out the YouTube on the making of the largest glass piece of this bench called, "Tide Pool Paddleboard". http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9U1Rq0EyP-A
We have amazing artists in town doing amazing work! I've got a great idea for dinner tonight! Go to Spice Merchants, our brand new spice and tea shop on Ocean Avenue, to find some inspiring new spice blends. Check out their recipes on their website at www.spicemerchants.biz. Let's welcome our new small business to town by shopping local. Bon appetit!
Not too many cities have newsstands anymore. Laguna Beach offers one at Ocean Ave. and PCH. Here is what you do: Go to one of our cafes for a pastry and coffee, then stroll over to grab some reading material at Barron's. Then cross the street and sit on a beach at Main Beach to listen to the waves crash while you sip your latte and munch on your croissant. Heaven!
I think Laguna Beach has the most courteous dog owners of anywhere I have ever been. Many hotels and restaurants in town are pet-friendly and we have a top-notch dog park in The Canyon. Love having these adorable pets enjoy our beaches with us!
The sun is finally coming out, just in time for the end of spring break. This palapa is in front of a popular surf break between Thalia St. and Anita St. Summer here we come!
