Yes, it's true! Laguna Beach High School recently added beach volleyball to its sports program. The girls season is in the spring and the boys season is in the fall. Go Breakers!

One of our hidden gems is the Rooftop Bar at The Inn At Laguna Beach. It has incredible views and only open to guests of the hotel. What's even more impressive, is they have a complimentary wine reception there every night from 5pm-6pm!

Nestled in this small valley, surrounded by tall trees in the outfield, this place is truly a "Field of Dreams" for the Little Leaguers. Many thanks goes out to our City Council who helped with the funds for this much needed improvement.

Happy Monday to you all! Time for an update on Frisbee Guy. He has been working hard all year entertaining us on PCH and Broadway. Did you know the flying disc was invented in the 1930s? The brand name, "Frisbee" was coined in the 1950s, and it was redesigned in the 1960s for better control and more accuracy. Go Frisbee Guy!
On my Laguna Beach Walks tours, we pass by a couple statues of Eiler Larsen, "The Greeter". Here are a few facts about him:
- He is from Denmark and left there to pursue his "Mission of Friendliness" - In 1938 he was cast as Judas in "he Last Supper" in the Pageant of the Masters - He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1918 - Hotel Laguna gave Eiler a free room in his later years - Besides wandering the United States before settling in Laguna Beach, he also wandered Siberia, South America If you come to Laguna Beach and have kids, Bluebird Park should be on your list of things to do. It has a huge multi-story rocketship, slides, swings, and this amazing turtle created by Michele Taylor in 2003.
