The New York Yankees say farewell to Derek Jeter with a commissioned project from Laguna Beach's own Dave Hobrecht. In this limited edition piece titled, "Jeter: Legends Call", you see all the Yankee greats in the bullpen: Yogi Berra, Lou Gehrig, Joe DiMaggio, Mickey Mantle, Mariano Rivera, and Babe Ruth. There are 150 of these, signed by Derek Jeter, at Yankee Stadium right now. www.hobrecht.com
I saw this beach house on wheels with a porch while jogging through Heisler Park this morning. I want it! On the driver's side door, the owner wrote, "Beware of Kitty".
The unofficial city event called the Aquathon went off today. The participants start at Emerald Bay and try to make it to the Ritz any way they can. Swim, SUP, rappel, climb, etc.

Now happening...Finals of the annual Victoria Beach Volleyball tournament. Old school rules. Side out volleyball with no net serves. Great Laguna Beach tradition.
Join me tomorrow from 4pm-6pm for a guided walking tour of the HIP District. A few spots are still available. HIP stands for "Historic and Interesting Places".
After taking a spin class at PopCycle2K with my awesome niece/spin instructor, Mackenzie, then watching friends compete in the 51st annual Brooks St. Surfing Classic, then cheering on my kids and hubby in the 6th annual "Pinga da Pong" tournament, it was time to enjoy a summer sunset with good friends. Thanks Candace for the tasty meal with a stunning ocean view.
