You know how sometimes as parents you have to suffer through kids' activities because you know they enjoy it? Like going to the movies and watching Frozen instead of American Sniper? Like listening to Justin Beiber instead of my favorite talk radio show? Well last night was NOT one of those times. Hubby and I took the kids to the Laguna Playhouse for the children's production of "Number the Stars". It was set in Copenhagen in 1943, telling the story of how many families helped save/hide/smuggle the Jews who were being forced to "relocate". Emmalisa Randrup was amazing as the lead character, Ellen. After the production, the director brought on stage a holocaust survivor and he told us his heartbreaking story. His mission for the rest of his life is to end all genocide.
