Carmelita's Mexican Restaurant recently opened in Laguna Beach and I've been there four times! Amazing food, service and margarita's every time!!! It is at the corner of PCH and Broadway. Parking is tough so don't get frustrated. Reservations encouraged.

Great to see the amazing talent at last week's 14th annual Laguna Beach Plein Air Painting Invitational Quick Draw contest. Tonight is the Collectors' Soiree with artwork available to purchase along with delicious cuisine and drinks. There are still a few tickets available. Dress up in your best cocktail dress or suit. Ready for Quick Draw 2012? Come to Heisler Park in Laguna Beach next Sunday, October 14th, to watch forty of the nations top plein air painters compete in the 14th annual public paint out! Their easels will be set up on the walking paths, on the beach, and even on some cliffs. It starts at 11:00am and the artists have just two hours to complete their masterpieces. At 1:00pm, you are invited to walk over to the Laguna Art Museum to meet the artists. This is such a special event - don't miss it! As I was researching my next Laguna Beach Walks walking tour, I found this amazingly cute garden, a half a block from PCH, in the Hip Distrist, off a back alley. A small space with big inspiration!
