- Passed away in 2018, Dora created works depicting women as powerful mythological figures as a response to being in a creative field dominated by men

- Her majolica plates commissioned by the Craft and Folk Art Museum in 1977 were used at a White House luncheon honoring the spouses of US senators

- Artist is Peter Busby who lives in rural Connecticut. Installed in 1993 at Alta Laguna Park
.
In 1984, while living in Denmark where is wife is from, he dragged some tree limbs over from a Farmer next door who was trimming his trees. From these discarded limbs he created a life size elephant. It was displayed at his local zoo then his local elementary school bought it as part of an environmental awareness program
.
Alta Laguna Park has tennis courts, pickle ball courts, basketball court, a baseball field and a playground for kids

- Backlit at night to create a glowing sunset

- John Barber has been a Sawdust Art Festival exhibitor since 1988. You can find him in the cage demoing the art of glass blowing

- The style of this piece is called ‘pate de verre glass casting’ dating back to 3rd Century BC predating blown glass by 1500 years
