For the past week, I have been monitoring Scott & Naomi Schoenherr's progress on their newest commissioned work for Laguna Beach. They have 3 seperate projects, 3 seperate locations, interconnected. The titles are "Time Connected", "Continuous Rotation", and The Tidal Pull". They are created of bronze, natural stone, and ceramics surrounded by an inlaid pathway mural created of stainless steel representing a school of fish. The designs were inspired by the poem "Sparkle (Giggle Crack)" written by Shelley Cooper. Come on my walking tour and we will visit this amazing art project.
As you know, each group booked for my walking tour receives a small, framed print from a local artist. My current featured artist, Linda Erickson, has the original watercolor of the Laguna Beach Lifeguard Tower exhibiting at City Hall in the "Art That's Small" competition, through April 26th. Contact Linda at 949-855-1433 if you would like to purchase the original. I'll definitely let you know if she wins the competition! Go Linda!
