Grand opening of Ritual JuiceBox with local artist, Stephanie Abrahams, exhibiting for Art Walk6/6/2014 
Last night was the super fun grand opening of Ritual JuiceBox at Oak and PCH. In honor of First Thursdays Art Walk, they had local artist, Stephanie Abrahams, exhibit her oil and acrylic paintings depicting the joys of life in America's recent past. Healthy food + art = Laguna Beach!
Last night the music was flowing at Mozambique for Bob Hawkins, the legendary California guitarist who suffered a major heart attack on stage last month. The benefit concert helped raise money for Bob's medical expenses since he didn't have health insurance and won't be able to work for awhile. The amazing musicians who donated their talents included the Ken Garcia Band along with Divina, Jason Feddy, Nick-I and Billy Sherman. Get well soon Bob!
A few years back, I would go to The Deck in Laguna Beach and listen to Kevin Miso play. His music is a mix between Jack Johnson and Donavon Frankenreiter. He just released his new summer single, "Zombie" on iTunes. You can't see him at The Deck any longer, but he is playing The Belly Up in San Diego on July 17th. 
Slapfish opens today at 11am at 211 Broadway and is giving out free lobster rolls to the first 100 guests. Slapfish started as a food truck buying direct from fisherman and now has a few brink and mortar locations with a fast-casual seafood theme. In 2012, OC Weekly gave them top votes for the best fish and chips, and in 2013 they won the Golden Foodie award for best seafood in Orange County.
The Deck restaurant has a killer view with live music Monday - Thursday from 5-9pm. Come on my HIP District Tour tonight, and we will pop our heads into this place to check out the scene. Laguna Beach is hiring! When I went to high school, McDonald's was where I worked for gas money. I'm so jealous of Laguna's opportunities for today's job seekers.
