Another episode of "Only in Laguna Beach": Surf rack inside a restaurant! After a long day of catching some waves, set down your board inside Banzai Bowls while you order the Maui Sunrise. Speaking of surfing, RIP Hobie Alter!

Recently on one of my HIP District walking tours, we ran into Sawdust exhibitor and found metal sculpture artist, James "Shamus" Koch. He took my group to his studio where he keeps his metal scraps and showed us where he creates and teaches classes. Every tour is a little different, depending on who we run into in town.
Walking past the Inn at Laguna Beach on my Heisler Park / Downtown Tour, I noticed they installed a cool surfboard shower next to their pool. Love all the "extras' this hotel has along with their ocean view and close proximity to downtown.
Happy Friday everyone! Have you ever thought about quitting your desk job for something a little less stressful? How about a job with an ocean view, where you drive some really cool cars, talk to fun people on vacation, and get some exercise? I don't know if they are hiring but looks like fun to me!
Ok folks. Tell me what you think about my newest blog on LagunaBeach.com. It's about how our town is dog-friendly. It also incorporates a love story with a shout out to one of our artists. All this in 500 words! http://lagunabeach.com/aroundtown/laguna-beach-loves-dogs/
Yesterday I re-designed the first page of my website. I hope you like it! Next on the agenda are my other pages. To be continued ...
The other day I was coming home from the grocery store and drove past a group of plain air painters with their easels in my alley. As my ice cream was melting, I had to find out what was going on? They were taking a class taught by Maria Bertran, who has a studio in the canyon, was born in Venezuela, and studied in Paris. She has painted just about every alley in Laguna and is now teaching others. How cool! Only in Laguna!
Skipper Carrillo, aka "Mr. Baseball", attended the Laguna Beach Little League fundraiser last week. He left his house, aka "The Dugout" to attend this community event. My hubby and I had a "Home Run Day" after receiving big hugs from him. Thanks to Mark Christy for hosting the event at Aliso Creek Inn and Golf Course.
Thank you to the fun couple from the midwest who were visiting Laguna Beach for the second year in a row. They came on my Fitness Tour again and we in got some great exercise while checking out Pyne Castle, Hortense Miller Garden, Pageant of the Masters stage, and the new Lifeguard Headquarters. Check out their five star review on TripAdvisor.com: http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g32588-d2507261-r197967144-Laguna_Beach_Walks-Laguna_Beach_California.html#REVIEWS
Have you planted your spring garden yet? The Montage has! When you're walking through their picturesque property, stop by their vegetable and herb beds to see what's for dinner.
