Hip District Tour Is Ready!

Ok folks, the Hip District Tour is now ready for guests! This is a super fun 2 hour walk seeing the best of Laguna Beach! Here are some highlights:

-Two Greeter statues plus his footprints and his very own street
·Unique gardens including seeing the very rare Laguna Beach liveforever succulent
·Site where the oldest human remains were discovered in the Western Hemisphere
· Bear, Elk, Ram on the roof and the Hare Krishna temple
·Public Art, unique shops, boutique hotels and impressive art galleries
·Pacific Ocean views from several lookout points.

This tour is $35 per person and the first tour date is this Sunday at noon. You can earn your hot wings and beers for the Superbowl by going on this walk! Hope to see you on Sunday!

If you had your heart set on cocktails and dinner at The Deck at sunset but there is an hour wait, you might want to walk over to the restaurant at Hotel Laguna. Amazing ocean view with great service!

I just went down to Laguna Beach's Community Services Department and bought some taxi vouchers for around town. They gave me phone numbers to 5 taxi cab companies that service Laguna Beach. Put these numbers into your cell phone NOW so you have them when you need them: Yellow Cab 714-999-9999; O.C. Bubbles the Hippopotamus

I recently saw this hippo fountain at Laguna Nursery and thought of Bubbles. The story I heard was back in the mid-1970s, a hippopotamus escaped from Lion County
Safari and took up residence in the little lake located on the west side of Laguna Canyon Road. For a time, the wayward hippo eluded capture, staying underwater by
day and emerging only at night. Then one day Bubbles was shot with tranquilizers and died when she fell on her head. RIP Bubbles!

Wahoo's 25th Anniversary Tomorrow

Hip District Tour - Practice Makes Perfect

Thank you to my friends for letting me practice my "Hip District" tour on them! Highlights for me included: Elaine's garden, cottage secret stairs, 14West studio tour, roof animals at The Old Pottery Place, and all the action in the ocean (SUP, kayak, surf, swim, sunset).
