Did you notice the Beach House restaurant closed 3 weeks ago? The owners of The Deck bought the place, are renovating it, and will open it as Driftwood Kitchen hopefully by the end of the year. Stay tuned for the menu - can't wait!
Senor Fish is coming to Laguna Beach next to Gina's Pizza in Boat Canyon. Rumor has it they have spectacular fish tacos.
Salsa Saturdays at Romeo Cucina in Laguna Beach. Free entry and free parking. For more information, call them at 949.497.6627.
Madison Square Café is ready for Halloween! Check out their holiday decorations, along with their home and garden items, while you have breakfast or lunch. Remember to bring your dog but don't come on Tuesdays.
My top 2 sushi restaurants in Laguna Beach are: 242 Café Fusion Sushi and San Shi Go. I love the skimboard tables at Fusion - so Laguna! Also, a couple tips: both restaurants are super busy so expect a wait. Also, don't ask for soy sauce at Café Fusion. Enjoy!
Think fresh and simple coastal cuisine paired with locally grown produce and that is chef David Fuñe's vision at Splashes restaurant inside the Surf & Sand Resort. While you are there, say hi to Jennifer, the new conceirge.
Andree's Patisserie is hard to find but check out the stellar reviews on Yelp! It is located on PCH through an alley, next to the closed French 75 restaurant. The next time you are in the mood for a cheese croissant or danish, go to Andree's!
If you come visit Laguna Beach, you have to check out the Shake Shack in Crystal Cove on the ocean side of PCH. Order a date shake and wander down the stairs to check out the Crystal Cove cottages available to rent. The Beachcomer restaurant is also there open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. If you want to learn more about the Shake Shack, check out this YouTube video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3nDZhAaegmE
If you want to learn more about the Crystal Cove cottages, check out this link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3nDZhAaegmE Peppertree Lane is a historic building (1934) originally built around a pepper tree. At this place on my Hip District Tour, we see the only stand up saloon in Orange County, a delish gelato establishment, and a lovely contemporary American cuisine restaurant. Come explore Laguna Beach with me!
