My next Laguna Beach Walks tour will be a historical architectural tour. This is the Pyne Castle, located on Hillcrest St. in North Laguna. This Norman style estate was built in 1927 by an eccentric and frugal entrepreneur named Walter Pyne. It originally had 62 rooms but has been turned into rental apartments. In 2010, the property was up for sale for $15 million. It eventually sold in 2012 for around $8.75 million.

For 38th years, the Laguna Open has brought some of the best women vollebyall players to town. It's been 58 years for the men. The City Council has agreed to increase their support for this event moving forward. Let's help elevate this tournament to where it was in the 80's!
I love driving into Laguna Beach greeted by this sign! We are home of the one and only Pageant of the Masters. Check out this You Tube video on this amazing production: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lON22maCtlg
This 1907 cottage is the oldest home in North Laguna Beach. It was constructed in one weekend! When this area of town was being subdivided in 1906, a prize of $100 was offered to the family who built the first home here. This settlement beach cottage on Magnolia St. won!
Jim Marshall of MarshallsMetalWorks.com just delivered his "Da Vinci's Dolphin" to Laguna Nursery. Check it out on display! Several of Jim's other pieces can be found at Laguna Gallery of Contemporary Art on PCH and Legion St.
