Flashback Friday! Laguna Beach High School was established in 1934 with the "Breakers" as their mascot. In 1936, they changed to the "Artists" to recognize the city's artistic roots. In 2003, the student body decided to change back to the "Breakers".

Thanks for the history re the "Breakers". I thought the recent change to the "Breakers" from the "Artists" was an attempt by Laguna High to turn a new leaf. I didn't like hearing of the change. I'm still not sure why they changed back to "Breakers". Comments??

I've been trying to find an old LBHS Artist sweatshirt and tee shirt for over a decade. Nothing ever comes up. Do you know of where I could get one?
