Yesterday I took my kids on a super fun James Dilley Nature Hike supported by the Laguna Canyon Foundation. Some of what we learned:
- 20,000 acres of wilderness
- was gonna be 3,400 houses and 2 golf courses
- Barbara's Lake is the only natural lake in Orange County
- Prickly Pear and Cholla cactuses are prevalent in the Laguna Beach Canyon
- Mistletoe is a parasite living in an off the Sycamore trees
- Mexican Elderberry was the plant Native Americans found most useful
