Last night I was honored to take the 6th grade Laguna Beach Girl Scout troop on my Heisler Park walking tour. When we arrived at the 9/11 memorial piece, none other than Jorg Dubin himself was there to talk to the girls about his famous work called, "Semper Momento". He told us when the two World Trade Center beams arrived in Laguna Beach, they had an American flag draped over them. Jorg buried that flag under his artwork right there in Heisler Park.

What a wonderful experience for the Girl Scouts in Laguna! Having read the story of their visit to Heilser Park and having been on a walking tour with Janelle recently, I just added a new piece of information to my story that I have shared and will continue to share with friends about the awesome tour...that is that the American flag was buried under the memorial. Celebrating life! From a former Girl Scout - Troop 65
