This house, built in 1883, is the oldest home in Laguna Beach. It was constructed of wood floated in from boats, wood from shipwrecks, and driftwood. Currently under a remodel approved by our Heritage Committee and Design Review Board, this shingle bungalow style cottage is in our Pearl Street District. 154 Pearl St.

Me and my father lived in the downstairs of the house from 1968 to I believe to sometime in the 70s I went to Aliso elementary School and I was a good friend of Billy Harper who lived in upstairs part of the house is kind of interesting cuz the shower is was down in the bottom in the far corner so he had to go outside to get to the shower but I remember the house real well it's full of all kinds of shipwreck ornaments and block and tackles made basically of old ship parts
