Who yarn bombed the tree in front of our Water District building and what does "90" mean? Those are the questions I asked when I called them yesterday. Michelle Boyd and another Water District employee knitted this piece in celebration of the Laguna Beach Water District's 90th anniversary. Some of our early settlers posed as a duck hunting club in order to buy some water bearing land in Huntington Beach. That water supply turned bad in the 1940s, and since then we have been importing our water from Northern California or Colorado. Happy 90th birthday to our Water District! #lagunabeachwaterdistrict @lagunabeachwaterdistrict #lagunabeach #conservewater #yarnbomb #birthday #waterdistrict #bewaterwise #drought
